Create a connector

Creating a connector is a relative straightforward process. The steps to create a connector depend on the type of connector you want to create. The two types of connectors are inlet and outlet connectors.

To create a connector, you first have to log in to your Synadia Cloud team and navigate to the account you want to create the connector for. The Connectors tab will show you a list of connectors for the account you are viewing.

Creating an inlet

1. Click on the Create Connector button.
2. Choose to create an inlet connector and click Next.
3. Select the source for your inlet connector and click Next.
4. Fill in the configuration fields for you selected source and click Next.
5. Enter the details for the NATS producer and click Next.
6. Give your connector a name and review the configuration. If all looks ok, click on the Save button.

Creating an outlet

1. Click on the Create Connector button.
2. Choose to create an outlet connector and click Next.
3. Enter the details for the NATS consumer reading the messages and click Next.
4. Select the destination for your outlet connector and click Next.
5. Fill in the configuration fields for you selected destination and click Next.
6. Give your connector a name and review the configuration. If all looks ok, click on the Save button.
