Managing JetStream Assets

Synadia Control Plane allows administrators to:

  • Create and manage streams: Control Plane provides a simple and intuitive interface for creating and managing streams, mirrors, and KV buckets. System and account administrators are able to create new streams, define the stream configuration, and manage stream replication and backups.

  • Create and manage consumers: Control Plane allows system and account administrators to create and manage push and pull consumers, including defining the consumer configuration and specifying the delivery targets

Streams

Creating a Stream

Creating a stream can be done by a System or Application Administrator when following these steps:

  1. From the home page, click the Name of the target system
  2. From the system overview, click Accounts
  3. Click the Name of the target account
  4. From the account overview, click Streams
  5. Click Create Stream, and pick the type of stream you'd like to create.
  6. Specify the name of your stream, the subjects, sources, limits, and retention policy.
  7. Click Save

Deleting a Stream

Deleting an account as a System Administrator can be completed as follows:

  1. From the home page, click the Name of the target system
  2. From the system overview, click on the Accounts tab
  3. Click the Name of the target account
  4. From the account overview, click Streams
  5. For the target stream, click the Actions ellipsis to view a drop-down
  6. Click the Delete option to open a confirmation dialog
  7. Confirm the person and click Delete

Consumers

Creating a Consumer

Creating a consumer can be done by a System or Application Administrator when following these steps:

  1. From the home page, click the Name of the target system
  2. From the system overview, click Accounts
  3. Click the Name of the target account
  4. From the account overview, click Streams
  5. Click the Name of the target stream
  6. Click Consumers
  7. Click Create Consumer
  8. Specify required information for the consumer
  9. Click Save

Deleting a Consumer

Deleting an account as a System Administrator can be completed as follows:

  1. From the home page, click the Name of the target system
  2. From the system overview, click Accounts
  3. Click the Name of the target account
  4. From the account overview, click Streams
  5. Click the Name of the target stream
  6. Click Consumers
  7. For the target stream, click the Actions ellipsis to view a drop-down
  8. Click the Delete option to open a confirmation dialog
  9. Confirm the person and click Delete
